Buffers and titration curves

C-AV-42/EV

The pH values can be measured with the help of electrochemical measurements and electrodes sensitive to protonic exchange (glass electrodes). The titration curves allow you to accurately determine the equivalence point in the titration of strong and weak acids and bases. In this experiment, different strong and weak acids and bases are titrated like an amphoteric substance and the buffer capacity of various buffer mixtures are determined.

Training program

  • Weak and strong electrolytes
  • Amphoteric electrolytes
  • Isoelectric point
  • Law of mass action
  • Buffering capacity
  • Henderson-Hasselbalch’s equation
