Pressure and boiling point

CB-IN-14/EV

This kit enables to show how pressure affects the boiling point. In detail, it highlights how the change from liquid to vapour is favoured by low pressures. Observing the data, students can notice that the boiling point of water decreases as pressure decreases. The particles present in gaseous state are more scattered at low pressures, therefore a greater availability of space will favour the jump of the particles leaving the liquid state.
