This kit enables to detect the presence of sulfur dioxide in the gases released by the combustion of material containing sulfur. Burning organic substances containing sulfur will produce small quantities of sulfur dioxide. This gas is also released by natural events (volcanoes and bacteria). As sulfur dioxide is very water-soluble and it makes rains very acid and corrosive, the highest levels of concentration are attained in the towns with an intense traffic and in wintertime for the great use of gasoil-fed heating systems. This test enables to detect the presence of sulfur dioxide.
