Test for detecting carbon monoxide

This kit enables to detect the presence of carbon monoxide in the gases released by the combustion of organic material. An incomplete combustion of organic substances containing carbon will produce small quantities of carbon monoxide. This gas is very toxic and it frequently provokes poisoning due to faulty stoves or to heaters used in rooms with insufficient air circulation. Carbon monoxide released by combustion reduces the silver in the solution, forming a black coat.
