Alkanes

The proposed experiment is divided into 4 parts: preparation of methane from sodium acetate and sodium hydroxide, combustion reactions of methane in conditions with no gaseous oxygen and in conditions of full oxidation, verification of the poor reactivity of methane, hexane and comparative tests of solubility and miscibility.
