Equilibrium of dissociation

C-AV-30/EV

Carboxylic acids are potential electrolytes that exist in conditions of weak dissociation in an aqueous solution. The displacement of the equilibrium of dissociation is described quantitatively by the values Ka or pKa that can be determined by potentiometric measurements.
